ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY
I am drawn to abstract painting because it allows me to move beyond literal realism and explore a more intuitive visual language. Through pattern, vibrant layered colors, texture, and expressive brushwork, I create works that invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and form their own personal connections. Rather than telling a single story, I hope my paintings spark curiosity and leave space for individual interpretation. Why so many circles? For me, circles symbolize rhythm, balance, continuity, and connection. Their flowing forms guide the eye in an endless journey while echoing the patterns found throughout nature. As they repeat across the surface, they create a sense of harmony and calm that I find both comforting and inspiring.I hold an MFA in Painting and have been showing at the FOA periodically for nearly 25 years. I am proud to have paintings in many important collections, including the Hilbert Art Museum at Chapman University, the City of Hope Art Collection and the City of Newport Beach Art Collection.
