This painting won first prize in a LPAPA Ocean Avenue Gallery exhibit that featured figurative art and urban scenes. The painting also sold in that gallery. the image came from a trip to San Francisco in 2016 where I spent many days downtown sketching and photographing those great back-lit streets full of energy and color.
